Care instructions: Keep your earrings away from direct sunlight and place them in a dry and enclosed container/space when not in use. Keep away from water, make-up and heat. Take extra care of earrings made of resin, shell, glass and ceramic. Avoid applying pressure or dropping from high places.

Formerly known as Tassels by Mia, this accessories line that started as a hobby has quickly grown into a brand solely focused on celebrating Philippine handwork and materials. All components are 100% sourced in the Philippines & their products are handmade in the Philippines by Mia Jeanjaquet and local artisans from Manila, Cebu and Bacolod. They continuously search for fresh native materials to incorporate into their designs & communities to collaborate with. One of Arete's core advocacies is building their own community of housewives & teen mum's who they then teach skills to be able to create their unique designs. Arete strongly believes in supporting local industries, communities & skill work, making Arete’s production their livelihood.

About Pag-asa Collective:

Pag-asa means 'hope' in Tagalog & the core purpose of this project is to try & give hope & to provide opportunities for local businesses and projects in the Philippines to sell their products here in New Zealand. The reason I have chosen the Philippines to support is because I am half-Filipino and see this as a way to connect with my roots and to help in some way with those from my Mom’s home country. This business is not-for-profit & everything made goes back into the communities; I have chosen to run the business in this way so that it never becomes about me & the core passion & purpose is always for the benefit of the communities.

After a lot of research I have chosen to partner with social enterprises that have a focus on working with local communities, victims of sex trafficking & place importance on sustainable & ethical work practises. Currently, we have partnered with 5 local businesses with the hope of partnering with more in the future.

Shipping to Australia:
This item ships from New Zealand. You can generally expect delivery of your item to take between 1-3 weeks.
