The Number and Shape Tracing Board was inspired by Maria Montessori’s words “what the hand does, the mind remembers” and it is a great way to introduce number concepts to children.

While they trace through each character, their brain will receive sensory stimulation, growing their memory, and they will learn the respective quantities associated with each number. It also helps improve hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and concentration.

It can be used in different ways which are only limited by your imagination, a few examples are: finger tracing, stick tracing, and covering the numbers and shapes with sensory materials like rocks, play dough, and grains.

Number and Shape Tracing Boards come with:

• 1 x wooden tracing board (engraving on both sides).
• 1 x tracing stick.
• Made from untreated NZ pine.
• 27 x 40 cm in size.

All materials are locally sourced with sustainability in mind. The full process of designing, cutting, sanding and application of finishes are carried out in our little HQ in a little country town in North Island, New Zealand.
