Introducing
Orba
My name is Gillian and I am the Sustainability Manager for Orba. I was also the first full-time employee for this innovative start-up which demonstrates the company’s commitment to embedding sustainability into the core foundation of its business practices. Our robust Sustainability Plan underpins all decision-making within this small company, leaving no stone unturned and resulting in absolute transparency within our operations!
By working with scientists and innovative design experts we were able to bring to the market a shoe that is made from some of the most highly renewable plant-based materials in the world with a world-first bio-sole made from natural rubber, rice husk ash and coconut oil. Orba shoes are designed to biodegrade and are a true global effort to address waste and pollution in footwear.
