Introducing

Melody The Label

Hi! I’m Christina, founder and director of Melody the Label. I’m an Australian, Mum to 3 gorgeous boys, married to the love of my life (Isaac), and live in beautiful New Zealand. I’m a natural/hippieish/alternative mum, and absolutely love breastfeeding! Since beginning my breastfeeding journey with my oldest son, I have found it so difficult finding ethical, sustainable, fashionable AND highly functional breastfeeding wear. I’ve always loved fashion, so deciding what to wear, whether at home or going out with my babies, has not been easy.

The idea for Melody the Label came shortly after I attended New Zealand Fashion Week, where the theme was ‘Sustainability’. Being so intrigued and interested in how the fashion world is rapidly changing, it suddenly hit me that not only did I need stylish breastfeeding wear in my life, but it needed to be sustainable, ethical, and completely natural. I dove headfirst into research, and discovered that I could not find any truly sustainable breastfeeding wear that didn’t compromise.

This was when I realized I needed to create it myself! So after far more research, brainstorming, designing, sourcing, and sampling, Melody the Label was created and the first few shirts were made. I hope you find the clothing as beautiful as we do, and feel complete freedom to breastfeed anywhere at any time. Happy breastfeeding days, love Christina xoxo
